 Jimi Hendrix has always been the King of rock and roll. Elvis was simply just "The King". Micheal Jackson was the "King of Pop", but undeniably Jimi Hendrix sat at the top of the Rock n' Roll heap. Musicians worldwide aspire to play his songs just to capture some of the magic that he possessed. His music touched all races and generations globally and completely changed the face of popular music from that point and still to this day.
Many have humbly dedicated their lives to his memory but, dare I say, none as much as myself? I do dare say. My name is Jimi Taylor and my life has mirrored the iconic legend in many ways. First of which is my obvious physical resemblance to him facially. People have been telling me how much I look like him since I was about fourteen years old and almost constantly since then. Really my whole life.  After joining the Air Force I was gifted a Biography of Jimi Hendrix from a friend and that's when I learned that he also joined the Military (Army Airborne) at the same age 20, and released similarly on medical discharges. As I read on I noticed other coincidences like both of us getting our first guitars from our Father and losing both our Mothers at age 10, and we both have brothers named Leon. Weird coincidences like one of his friends brought his guitar to him in boot camp as did mine just two months earlier. We were both born in the same month of November and my name really is James but everyone knows my as Jimi. The biography that I referenced is called Kiss the Sky. Then to beat all I recently discovered that I also have a very similar Black and Native American Indian heritage just like Hendrix did only "my" Grand Mother was Apache instead of Cherokee tribe. The main difference that I notice between Jimi Hendrix and myself is that he was left handed and I happen to be right. Like a mirror. The first two pictures above are of me only the second one is reversed so you can see the striking similarities. I bet you thought they were Hendrix's pics at first, didn't you? Most people double take when they see me. See what I mean about the resemblance? These pics are of me opening for Johnny Winter at Virginia Beach at "SandStock" in the summer of '09. I have been perfecting my show of tribute for decades but only in the past few years have I really focused my attention on his authentic look which required me having to re-create his wardrobes by hand. I also painted my left handed Fender Strat white from its original black finish. Below is the late Jimi, see what I mean about the resemblance?  The most important coincidence between the two of our lives is our connection with the spirit. Jimi asks "Are you Experienced?". I have been, and it was the most beautiful experience imaginable. Absolutely beyond words. We have both shared the very rare gift of experiencing conscious awareness of our inner spirit. If anyone has experienced this then of course they will understand completely but if one has not then it is totally beyond rational comprehensibility. It's something everyone everywhere will at some point eventually awaken to. It is inevitable.
The Jimi's Image band is the product of almost 30 years of portraying Jimi Hendrix started in the '80's and has undergone many incantations. It was quite a kick in the pants let me tell you.  Also to my credit, my movements will forever be immortalized within the "Guitar Hero" game featuring Jimi Hendrix. The makers of the game in association with the Jimi Hendrix Foundation chose me to darn the reflective ball suit and perform the motions of Jimi Hendrix to his music. 
Once again, one of Jimi Taylor's dreams came true on Halloween 2009 in Los Angeles, California. My new agent Grace Fulljames of Crooners Unlimited http://www.croonersunlimited.com/Public/Artists/NewListOfArtists2.html landed this gig for me just two weeks after I signed on with their company. It seems I have been truly blessed with the best after waiting for years to be properly represented. Already Grace is working on an England tour as well as many other avenues for exposure for Jimi's Image. Don't be surprised when you see me on the cover of the newspaper on on some late night talk show as musical guest. It seems like every time I turn around another dream of mine is coming true. Maybe it's because I believe in all possibilities that things seem to happen out of the blue but I insist that I asked for every instance and event that has ever happened for me. I understand that there are no accidents anywhere at any time. There is cause and effect it is a law of science that cannot be disputed. Do not limit your existence by thinking you have no control. If you take control then you will have it. Envision your future as you would like it to be and accept it when it arrives as your own. The truly enlightened are those who understand that they already own everything since they understand and accept that they are one with the One who is Everything. Think about that. You are that.
